What do you enjoy about Crook AC: What I particularly enjoy about running with Crook AC is the wide range of ages and abilities we have here so whoever joins us always has someone to run with. We really are like one big family.

What’s your favourite Race?: Cockfield Chase Fell Race because it’s a short, multi-terrain slog in beautiful countryside, it attracts all ages and abilities and they have a great prize giving ceremony at the end where everyone gets a gift. Oh and there’s cake!

Proudest moment as a Crook AC Member: Probably my recent 7 minute track mile taking 14 seconds off my previous fastest mile. I’m also quite proud of the fact that I just completed my first full cross country season.

How/why did you end up joining the club: I joined the club because I wasn’t confident enough to run anywhere on my own so I went along, met a few runners who introduced me parkrun where I met loads of other runners who I talked into joining our club with me. My confidence built from there and it wasn’t long before I would run anywhere, either alone or with friends.
