Favourite Discipline: Cross Country

What do you enjoy about Crook AC: I’ts such a welcoming club, like a second family. The team events are amazing as there is so much support and friendly competition.

What’s your favourite Race?: GNR for the unbelievable atmosphere and party afterwards

Proudest moment as a Crook AC Member: Got to be breaking a sub 19 5k at the Terry O Gara 5k with Brad and Kate all 3 of us worked as a team pushing each other round, can’t describe the feeling of looking at the watch at the end and seeing an 18, never thought I would be anywhere near 20 minutes when I joined the club never mind 18 !!

How/why did you end up joining the club: My kids were all junior members and I started running a few parkruns to keep fit and got the bug for running so decided to pop along to the senior track session, like everyone at first I was very nervous thinking everyone was going to be of an Olympic standard but there are so many ability levels to choose from, everyone is welcome.
